If you’re a beekeeper and you live in the Dublin area, then joining our association would be a smart move.
Members of our association come to our lectures and demonstrations, can use our library and receive our newsletter. For an example click here: cdbka winter 09 newsletter (beware, it’s a big .pdf document).
One of the big expenses of being a beekeeper is owning an extractor. Our association has extractors which can he rented to members at as nominal fee – here’s a picture of one.
Joining the Co. Dublin beekeepers’ association is simple.
First, choose what you’d like to sign up for:
- Membership costs just EUR 25 a year in 2011 (the year runs from January to December).
- To have your bees insured till the end of the calendar year 2011 (contact our secretary for more details on what is covered), add eight euros.
- To receive ‘an Beachaire’ in 2011, the Irish Beekeeping Federation’s regular magazine, add 25 euros.
Then send your cheque – payable to the Co. Dublin beekeepers’ association – along with your name, address, email address and phone number to our Membership Secretary:
Mr Stuart Hayes, CDBKA Membership Secretary, 10, Glenvara Park, Templeogue, Dublin 16.
Stuart will send you a receipt, and you’ll start to get our newsletter. If you have any queries, you can email Stuart on membership@dublinbees.org.
We look forward to meeting you at one of our events!
